Tickets are sold in the expectation that the purchaser intends to attend the ticketed event. Tickets, once purchased, are non-refundable unless the individual ticketed event is cancelled. ‘Full Price Weekend’ is defined as the standard ticket type to the conference.
If a ticket is selected, but payment is not made, HNSA reserves the right to cancel that ticket to release it to another potential attendee.
Receipt of a confirmation email constitutes confirmation that the ticket has been validly issued.
Purchase of In Person Conference ticket types does not include the Conference Dinner, Pitching Appointments, and/or entry to TWC First Pages Pitch Contest. Those events and sessions require purchase/booking of the appropriate ticket.

CONCESSION TICKETS
‘Student/Concession Full Weekend’ tickets are sold to individuals who conform to the following conditions:
- A ticket sold to an individual who holds a valid concession card (Refer to the Department of Human Services website for a list of recognised concession card types). Concession details must be entered when purchasing tickets, otherwise the Full Price Weekend price or Early Bird Weekend (if applicable) will be charged instead.
- A ticket sold to a school student or undergraduate/post graduate student of a tertiary institution. A Student ID number must be entered when purchasing tickets, otherwise the Full Price Weekend Ticket or Early Bird Weekend (if applicable) price will be charged instead.
The HNSA Committee reserves the right to:
- Vary the cut-off date of the ‘Early Bird’ period.
- Vary the number of tickets being sold as ‘Early Bird Weekend’ and ‘Student/Concession Full Weekend’.
- Revise the times of plenary sessions, interviews and panels within the Weekend Conference Program. Any revisions to times will be updated on the website. No refunds will be made if a ticketholder is unable to attend at the revised time.
HNSA does not accept any responsibility for technical failures of a ticketholder’s own device. All care will be taken to ensure livestreamed sessions are aired but HNSA takes no responsibility for technical failures beyond its control including WiFi dropouts. All sessions will be recorded and made available for a period of 3 months after the conclusion of the Conference to ticketholders. The HNSA owns the rights to the recordings and does not consent to recording or distribution by ticketholders or other participants. By attending the conference you consent to the use of your personal information in the recording of your participation for HNSA’s purposes.
CONFERENCE DINNER TICKETS
Tickets are sold separately to the Conference Dinner. A holder of a ticket to the Weekend Conference is not automatically entitled to attend the dinner.
‘Conference Dinner’ entitles the ticketholder to attend the conference dinner on Saturday 21 October 2023 to hear the special guest speaker. The price includes a two-course meal. No alcohol is included in the price.
All seats at the conference dinner will be unallocated, with seats available on a first-come, first-served basis at the dinner venue.
TCW FIRST PAGES PITCH CONTEST TICKETS
Purchase of an In-Person ‘Early Bird Weekend’, ‘Full Price Weekend, ‘Student/Concession Full Weekend’ or a Saturday or Sunday ticket is a prerequisite to entering the TCW First Pages Pitch Contest which requires payment of a separate entry fee. Online registrants are ineligible to enter the contest.
HNSA reserves the right to refuse an entry to the TCW First Pages Pitch Contest if the entrant does not purchase an appropriate Weekend conference ticket or conference Day ticket. The entry fee is non-refundable. There is a limit of 8 entries.

pitching appointments
Purchase of an In-Person ‘Early Bird Weekend’, ‘Full Price Weekend, ‘Student/Concession Full Weekend’ or a Saturday or Sunday ticket is a prerequisite to booking a pitching appointment with an industry professional. A day ticket must correspond to the date of the relevant appointment. There is a limit of 3 appointments per person. First come, first serve basis. Cost is $20 per appointment. If an appointment is booked, but payment is not made, HNSA reserves the right to cancel that ticket to release it to another potential ticketholder. If an appointment is booked without an In-Person conference ticket, HNSA reserves the right to cancel the appointment and release it to another ticketholder.
