Catherine Jinks

Catherine Jinks was born in Brisbane in 1963. She grew up in Papua New Guinea and later studied medieval history at Sydney University.  She has published more than 40 books for all ages in more than a dozen countries and has won the CBCA Book of the Year award (four times), the Victorian Premier’s Award and the Adelaide Festival Award, among others. In 2001 she received a Centenary Medal for her contribution to children’s literature.
Catherine’s latest historical fiction is the Theophilus Grey series. She lives in the Blue Mountains with her husband, Peter Dockrill.
