Jackie French

Jackie French is a writer, wombat tamer (part time) and joyous romantic from the Araluen Valley. She was Australian Children’s Laureate 2014-2015, Senior Australian of the Year 2015, and as well as her award winning books for young people, like Diary of a Wombat and Hitler’s Daughter,  also writes fiction for adults like the Matilda  and Miss Lily series, which while delectably romantic, also show readers the  strong, extraordinary women who gave and loved so much, but are so often left out of our history.

Jackie is our Guest of Honour at the 2019 conference.
