Kelly Gardiner asks her about Regency research and manners, dancing (and demon-slaying) in floor-length silk, plotting and planning, and walking the ground - experiencing places inhabited by fictional characters.

Alison Goodman is the author of seven novels including her most recent release Lady Helen and the Dark Days Deceit, the final novel in her award-winning Regency supernatural trilogy; and EON and EONA, a New York Times bestselling fantasy duology. She is currently working on a new series of novellas and has embarked on a PhD focusing on the Regency era and historical fiction research.

Alison is a guest at this weekend's conference, and is also teaching a workshop on writing historical fantasy on Friday.
