Nicole is a fourth-generation grazier, and the author of nine historical novels: The Bark Cutters, A Changing Land, Absolution Creek, Sunset Ridge, The Great Plains, Wild Lands, River Run, An Uncommon Woman and most recently Stone Country. Nicole’s novels, poetry, travel, creative writing and genealogy articles have been published internationally, and she has a Masters in Literature & Creative Writing.

Nicole is appearing at our 2019 conference, on a panel with Ella Carey called Personal Histories, on the ways these writers draw on family stories to create their fiction.
