Enter your short story in our 2019 contest, and you could win:

- A free membership of the Historical Novel Society.
The three short listed entries will be published in a special issue of Backstory Journal. Runners-up will also receive a book pack from Eagle Books.
This year, our judge is conference patron Sophie Masson.
The shortlist and winners will be announced at the conference dinner on 26 October.
The longlist will be announced on 30 September 2019.
