  1. Wow that sounds fantastic! A novel about the 1960s – such a fascinating decade – and inserting women into the story of war is intriguing.

  2. The Vietnam War is a topic that has rarely taken women into its back stories let alone one featuring women in a military, albeit non- fighting, role. Congratulations.

  3. Women can be heroes too. I loved Kristin Hannah’s The nightingale and can’t wait to read another of her novels with strong female protagonists making their mark in challenging times.

  4. I’m intrigued to read this book, as my mother also went to war in 1943, as an army ambulance driver to collect and transport war wounded.
Reading well crafted books like this help to get an understanding of historical times and events.

  5. Gloria Steinhardt was not the first to believe that a series of grey haired women would take over the world, female writers, such as Kristin Hannah, powerfully show the way that women will lead, where others can but follow.
