Historical Novel Society Australasia 2021 Virtual Conference ticket terms & conditions

Tickets are sold in the expectation that the purchaser intends to attend the online ticketed event. Tickets, once purchased, are non-refundable unless the individual ticketed event is cancelled.

If a ticket is selected, but payment via Regfox is not made, HNSA reserves the right to cancel that ticket to release it to another potential attendee.

Receipt of a confirmation email from Regfox constitutes confirmation that the ticket has been validly issued.

WEEKEND ONE: BOOTCAMP & PUBLISHING PROGRAM TICKETS – SATURDAY 16 AND SUNDAY 17  OCTOBER

Purchase of a Bootcamp ticket entitles the ticketholder to attend their selected bootcamp session in the Bootcamp & Publishing Program.

Purchase of a Manuscript Assessment ticket entitles the ticketholder to attend their selected Manuscript Assessment in the Bootcamp & Publishing Program.

Purchase of a Research & Writing Masterclass ticket entitles the ticketholder to attend their selected Masterclass in the Bootcamp & Publishing Program.

HNSA reserves the right to revise the times of bootcamps, manuscript assessments and masterclasses in the Bootcamp & Publishing Program held on Conference Weekend One. Ticket holders will be notified of the change, and if unable to attend at the revised time, will have their money refunded on request. Any revisions to times will be updated on the website.

Purchase of a Weekend One ticket does not entitle the ticketholder entry to the Weekend Two Main Conference Program or Optional Craft Workshops.

WEEKEND TWO MAIN CONFERENCE PROGRAM TICKETS – SATURDAY 23 AND SUNDAY 24 OCTOBER

Purchase of an ‘Early Bird: Full Conference, ‘Full Fee Conference, ‘Student Discount: Full Conference’ or ‘Concession: Full Conference’ ticket entitles the ticketholder to the following inclusions on Conference Weekend Two:

  • All online interviews and panel sessions in the Main Conference Program
  • All online conversation salons
  • On demand access to all interviews and panels in the Main Conference Program for a period of 3 months after the conclusion of the Conference (Conversation Salons and Workshops are not recorded or available later.)

Purchase of the ‘Saturday Only’ or ‘Sunday Only’ single tickets provides the same access as the above ticket types, but for the specified day only.

The HNSA Committee reserves the right to:

  • Vary the cut-off date of the ‘Early Bird’ period.
  • Vary the number of tickets being sold as ‘Early Bird: Full Conference and ‘Student Discount: Full Conference’.

‘Full Fee Conference’ is defined as the standard ticket type to the conference.

‘Concession: Full Conference and ‘Student Discount: Full Conference’ tickets are sold to individuals who conform to the following conditions:

  • ‘Concession: Full Conference’ is defined as a ticket sold to an individual who holds a valid concession card (Refer to the Department of Human Services website for a list of recognised concession card types). Concession details must be entered when purchasing tickets. Otherwise, the Full Fee Conference Ticket price will be charged instead.
  • ‘Student Discount: Full Conference’ is defined as a ticket sold to a school student or undergraduate/post graduate student of a tertiary institution. Concession details must be entered when purchasing tickets. Otherwise, the Full Fee Conference Ticket price will be charged instead.

Purchase of the above ticket types excludes access to the Optional Workshops held throughout Friday 22 to Sunday 24 October on Weekend Two. Workshop tickets must be purchased separately.

Purchase of a Full Fee (including Concession: Full Conference or Student Discount: Full Conference) or a Saturday or Sunday ticket is a prerequisite to entering the First Pages Pitch Contest which requires payment of a separate entry fee.

HNSA reserves the right to revise the times of sessions within the Main Weekend Conference Program on Conference Weekend Two. Any revisions to times will be updated on the website. No refunds will be made if a ticketholder is unable to attend at the revised time.

WEEKEND TWO OPTIONAL CRAFT WORKSHOPS TICKETS – FRIDAY 22 TO SUNDAY 24 OCTOBER

Purchase of an Optional Craft Workshop ticket entitles the ticketholder to attend their selected workshop on Conference Weekend Two.

Purchase of a ticket to the Main Conference Program on Weekend Two is not required in order to purchase an Optional Craft Workshop ticket.

HNSA reserves the right to revise the times of optional workshops held on Conference Weekend Two. Ticket holders will be notified of the change, and if unable to attend at the revised time, will have their money refunded on request. Any revisions to times will be updated on the website.
